BAWB Virtual Conference – Great Experience for Universities
The Virtual Forum provides a unique opportunity to bring together students and faculty to connect across issues, continents and disciplines to re-think the role of business in society. Here are just a few things that might make the Virtual Forum a rich experience for your classroom and beyond:
All keynote addresses will be webcast live in a video format – and you are welcome to bring together a group to view the webcast on a large screen, post questions to the speakers on behalf of the entire group, and host a follow-up discussion around the issues presented.
A special step-by-step workbook will be provided to each virtual group to engage you fully in a multi-day dialogue and action planning based on a unique participative process known as Appreciative Inquiry. Use the workbook to facilitate the dialogue – and contribute the best ideas of your classroom or colleagues to the face-to-face dialogue in Cleveland.
All papers and cases selected for the Forum will be posted in the Virtual Forum community space along with audio abstracts, author bios and other relevant information. Organized as a searchable database, this immense resource will remain available beyond the days of the conference which will allow Virtual Forum participants to post questions and comments about each paper to discussion boards and chats.
No special equipment is required to participate in the Virtual Forum. All you need is a PC or Macintosh, working speakers and an Internet connection. You may choose to connect via dial-up to access text, Flash and voice-only resources; a high speed connection will allow you to view video webcasts and download large files.
For groups with more than 20 participants, groups may purchase packages at a price of $50 per participant.
